Summary
A detailed planning ponsent has been granted for a detached two-bedroom bungalow plus study with a gross internal area of approximately 810sq.ft., in a desirable elevated cul-de-sac location backing onto woodland within a spacious plot. The plans indicate a single storey bungalow with living room, kitchen / dining room, two bedrooms, a study, bathroom and storage areas. The materials for the bungalow are render and stone-effect cladding, concrete roof tiles and white UPVC windows. The new bungalow will have its own driveway and two parking spaces. The bungalow will sit back in the plot away from the road. There is also planning consent for under-croft parking and further storage if that is a preferred option for parking. The large garden to the rear is terraced and backs onto woodland, whilst the new bungalow will have extensive views across the town and towards Worlebury woods on the horizon.
The Site
The plot is approximately 420sq.m. but the exact size and boundaries are to be determined with the owner. The plot has a small garage on it at present to be removed, the rest of the plot is terraced leading up to the woodland boundary. A soil survey has been completed determining the soil to be clay. The plot can provide two parking spaces or under-croft parking if preferred. Parking space is also required for the host property to the front of their house within the Decision Notice.
The Area
The plot is close to Bleadon Hill which is within the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has an SSSI designation. The whole area is some 33 acres. The village of Bleadon has a post office and church. Weston Super Mare, which has a population of some 72,000 people, opens- up all amenities and facilities. It is a popular tourist destination with long beaches and more secluded beaches in Uphill and Sand Bay. The town has the major supermarkets including Waitrose and Sainsburys as well as the Sovereign Shopping Centre and numerous retail parks. All manner of sports clubs are represented in the town. Weston has good motorway connections and is on the main-line railway to London Paddington. The town is about 20 miles from Bristol City Centre and is popular with commuters.
Services
The plot has access to all main services including mains drainage and gas. We would advise interested parties to make their own enquires with regard to services.
Viewing
The plot can be viewed only by prior appointment through The Land Bank Partnership.
