Outline planning consent has been granted for the erection of six dwellings and a vehicle access, in a desirable village location some 8 miles south-west of Bruton and some 8 miles north of Yeovil. The illustrative plans indicate six detached dwellings with gardens in a sizeable plot, over an acre of land, with double garages. It has the Hauser and Wirth Art Gallery, a Michelin Star chef, the Restaurant at the Chapel, a state boarding school and two private secondary schools. It has attracted people from the media, film and art worlds. Yeovil is one of Somerset’s largest towns with a population of around 45,000 people. It has a large town centre including the Quedam Shopping Centre with high street chains and independent shops as well as two major supermarkets. The town has two theatres, a large cinema, sports centre and leisure centre, as well as football, rugby and athletics clubs. Nearby local attractions include Tintinhull Gardens and Ninesprings Country Park, with woodland walks, waterfalls, and a café.
