The plot sits just to the south of Bedminster and is some two miles from the City Centre. Local shops are within a short stroll and North Street is a 10-minute walk, with its many bars, shops and restaurants. The 51- acre Victoria Park is one mile from the plot, offering walking and jogging routes, outdoor fitness sessions, tennis courts and a bowling green as well as a café and children’s play area. Local schools include Oasis Academy primary school and Bristol Cathedral secondary school, both rated as Outstanding by Ofsted. Parson Street railway station is within easy walking distance and Bristol Temple Meads is just over a mile from the site. Nearby, Bedminster has a population of around 11,000 people, a rugby and cricket club and one of the two City farms in Bristol, below Windmill Hill. It is a popular residential area being close to the City Centre and more affordable than the likes of Clifton and Redland.
