Cultural activities include the Brewhouse Theatre, Odeon Cinema and the museum.Notable buildings include the Grade 1 Listed Gray’s Almhouses and the Anglo Saxon Grade 1 Listed Taunton Castle. Taunton is accessed from J25 of the M5 and the railway station provides a regular service to Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington. Blackbrook primary school is rated as Good by Ofsted and secondary education is offered at Bishop Fox’s school and Heathfield Community School both rated as Good and Outstanding respectively. Independent education is available at Taunton School, Queen’s College and King’s College.
