The village is within the Parish of Camerton and noted places of interest include the Hill Fort, being a Scheduled Ancient Monument, the Local Nature Reserve and the 15th century Grade 1 Listed Church of St. Peter. Local schools include Camerton church primary school, rated as Good by Ofsted and the secondary schools of Saint Gregorys rated as Outstanding, and Writhlington School rated as Good. The major supermarkets of Sainsburys and Tesco are within easy driving distance and Timsbury is on the door-step with a village shop, post office and café. The very well –regarded King William Inn is a short walk from the site whilst Bath is a 15 minute drive or a 5 minute drive to the Park and Ride service. There is a regular bus service to the City of Bath and Bath Spa railway station is on the main-line to London Paddington. Bath is one of England’s finest cities with leading Universities, a rich cultural history, stunning architecture and an excellent shopping centre with many varied and independent shops. The City Centre is also home to the Theatre Royal Bath and the world famous Roman Baths.
